W-Cubed was started in June of 1985 by Brad Gwinnup who manufactured custom control panels, part-time, in the garage of his father, Phil Gwinnup. On January 1, 1987, Brad rented office and small warehouse space at 2121 S. West Temple and began manufacturing control panels on a full-time basis.
In July of 1987, Phil Gwinnup, who had spent 30 years in the water and wastewater field, joined forces with Brad forming a partnership. Utilizing Phil’s contacts, a number of lines of equipment were secured and they began selling water and wastewater treatment equipment as manufacturer representatives. On January 1, 1995, W-Cubed was incorporated with Phil and Brad as directors. Phil Gwinnup currently serves as President and Brad Gwinnup serves as Vice President as well as Chief Financial Officer. W-Cubed, Inc. is currently engaged in selling water and wastewater treatment equipment and the design and manufacturing of custom controls with sales in excess of $3.25 million annually.

Phil has about 50 years of water and wastewater experience. Phil graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Civil Engineering. Since W-Cubed was incorporated, Phil has served as president and runs the inside sales division. Phil has been married for over 45 years, has 5 children and 15 grandchildren. Phil enjoys supporting his favorite basketball and football teams as well as playing golf.

Rob started with W-Cubed, Inc. during the summer of 2000. He has worked as the Controls Division Manager for the past 3 years. Starting in January of 2004, Rob began helping Phil with inside sales. Rob is married and has one daughter. When he’s not at W-Cubed, he enjoys the outdoors and working at his family ranch in Southern Utah.

Mike joined W-Cubed, Inc. at the first of January, 2004. Mike has extensive sales experience in the wet end of HVAC, in which he was familiarized with pumps, piping and controls. Mike is a community leader and active in his church. He is also a father of 5 children and a grandfather of one grandson. His wife, Ilene Stone of 27 years, is currently our office manager. He enjoys playing golf, softball and basketball.

Omer joined W-Cubed, Inc. in November of 1999. Before coming to the United States Omer owned his own electronics repair shop in Bosnia. Omer’s electronic experience and no problem attitude make the panel shop a positive place to work. Omer, his wife, and three children became United States Citizens in the summer of 2003. When Omer isn’t working, he enjoys relaxing with his family.
